“We are two sons, born to loving parents who instilled in us the values of hard work and a deep appreciation for home-cooked meals. As the elder brother, I recall my childhood days when I enthusiastically assisted my mother in the kitchen. Even if I decided to take a step back, my mother’s unwavering commitment to teaching me culinary skills ensured I grew fond of kitchen work. Her exceptional Kerala fish curry remains unmatched to this day.

My younger sibling, once an adventurous kitchen explorer, has now embraced a more mature perspective. Back then, we watched in awe as my mom meticulously crafted recipes. She noted down culinary secrets, experimented with flavors, listened to radio broadcasts, and so much more. Growing up amidst these flavorful experiences ignited our passion for cooking from an early age. As I ventured abroad for my studies and careers, the kitchen became my haven. Experimentation with diverse recipes became my cherished pastime.

When I returned home after years abroad, the idea of providing pure ingredients for fellow home-cooking enthusiasts took root. My father’s roots near Munnar, a place abundant in spices, and our family’s deep ties to agriculture inspired this dream. Despite initial skepticism from many, my father and my wife believed in my vision. Slowly, support began to trickle in. A cousin with an uncompromising commitment to quality helped us source the finest goods. It took nearly five years to turn this dream into reality.

Our love for cooking and food, rather than profit margins, drove us into this venture. Our guiding principle is simple: we provide nothing to our customers that we wouldn’t offer to our own loved ones. At Mudhome, we replicate the same processes you perform at home. We source fresh ingredients, wash, dry, and grind them to perfection. Are preservatives added? No. Does it prolong shelf life? No. Are artificial colors included? Never.
